Augusto immediately at ease on new bike in Mugello practice

The Tuscan track of Mugello – which hosts this weekend’s Italian GP, and certainly one of the most tough circuits of the calendar, today showed the great work of Speed Up engineering on the new SF7 chassis.

Spaniard Augusto Fernandez showed an impressive learning ability and adaptation to the new class and a circuit unknown to him. Having moved over to the World Championship only this week, his form was assured, and although he knows there is much to do, he clearly showed hard work and improvements across FP1 and FP2.

“It has been a good day. I really like this circuit although the track is quite difficult. In the second free practice session we improved the lap time reducing the gap of one second. We are still two seconds behind and we need keep working very hard. With the team I have had a good relationship right away I am sure we can grow together.”
