Complicated first day for Augusto Fernández at Sachsenring
The ninth Gran Prix of the Moto2 World Championship season started today with the first free practices at the Sachsenring Circuit.
The day started in a good way for Augusto Fernández, who felt really comfortable and finished the first free practice with the ninth fastest time.
However, some changes were made for the afternoon session and he couldn’t keep the good feeling and finally finished the day in the twenty-sixth position. Despite all this, Augusto is determined to make a good performance on Saturday.
He will be back on track at 10:55 for the third and last free practice, and again at 15:05 for the qualifying practice.
Augusto Fernández #40 – 1:25:542 (+0.792)
“First day started well in the morning, with a good feeling on the bike that made me finish in the ninth place. In the afternoon, we tried some changes, but they didn’t work as we wanted to, and by the moment we got back to the first setting I didn’t feel confident enough. Anyway, we forget about that and tomorrow I’m sure it will be a good day”.
