Augusto Fernández takes a points finish at Sachsenring despite minor mistake
Augusto Fernández finished the Moto2 German GP race at Sachsenring Circuit with a bittersweet feeling.
After a good start, the Spanish rider was quickly placed in the Top 10, fighting for the seventh position. In the last part of the race and with the used tyres, he made a little mistake that made him lose some positions and crossed the finish line in the fifteenth place, scoring one more point in the championship.
The MotoGP World Championship starts now a break until the next Gran Prix, that will take place at Czech Republic on August 3rd, 4th and 5th.

“I started the race well, with a good start and keeping the position. Step by step, I started to improve my pace and gained some places, riding with the group that was fighting for the seventh place. During the last laps, I was feeling strong to fight, but I made a mistake in turn 12 with the gear, I run wide and it was impossible to make up positions. Despite this, I keep scoring and we’re already in the fight for the Top 10”.
