The twelfth round of the season started today with the British Grand Prix. As usual, the first day was dictated by the British weather, with dry conditions in the morning and rain in the afternoon session.

Augusto Fernández started the GP weekend in a good way. The Spanish rider improved during the free practices day every time he was on track. He was eager to make more kilometers and gain more experience and finally made a fastest lap time of 2:09:525, that placed him in the fifteenth position, as he’s conscious that there’s still an improvement margin. He also had a good feeling with wet conditions and he’s confident to keep this pace during the rest of the weekend.

The Pons HP 40 rider will be back on track tomorrow morning at 10:55 (local time) -11:55 Spanish peninsular time- to complete the last free practice, and at 15:05 (local time) -16:05 Spanish peninsular time- for the qualifying session.

“We started the weekend in a good way more or less. In dry conditions I feel I have a lack of kilometers in this circuit, because the more I rode, the better my times were. I still need a little more, so I would like to ride more time in dry conditions. In wet conditions, at the end is more about the feeling and I didn’t want to take too many risks and leave that for the race in case we have wet conditions. We’ll await the weather conditions, but I’m looking forward to ride more kilometers and keep improving”.
