The MotoGP World Championship is back in action in Italy with the San Marino GP at the fast Misano Circuit.

Augusto Fernández completed a really good first day, finishing between the 10 fastest riders of the class. The Spanish Pons HP 40 rider started working on the rhythm during the first part of the session with the Sunday’s race in his mind.

Augusto is becoming more familiar with the Kalex and the class and made a fastest lap of 1:38.295, just a bit more than half a second from the best time of the day, and with good feelings that will give him the confidence needed to face Saturday’s sessions.

Augusto will be back on track tomorrow at 10:55 for the last free practice, before the qualifying, that will start at 15:05.

Augusto Fernández #40 – 10th, 1:38.295 (+0.532)
“In the morning practice we worked with the hard tyre focusing on the rhythm, and we knew that the place we got wasn’t where we really were. In the afternoon session, I improved my feelings on the bike and I was able to make competitive lap times from the beginning, finishing in the 9th place. We still have to improve a couple of things tomorrow so we can make a good qualifying”.
