Saturday’s timed Qualifying session was complicated for the Sito Pons-run HP4 Pons Racing squad at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo.

Augusto Fernández and teammate Lorenzo Baldassarri encountered many complications and did not get to feel comfortable on top of their Kalex bikes, giving the maximum at each track exit.

In the end, Augusto Fernández will start from the eighth place with a better time of 1: 34.683 and teammate Baldassarri, twenty-third, stopping the stopwatch at 1: 35.258.

Tomorrow the FlexBox HP 40 riders will start the final Moto2 GP at 12:20 local time to say farewell to the season, with a race planned for 25 laps.

Augusto Fernández, 8th, 1: 34.683 (+0.402)
“Today we have not done a good timed session. It is a pity because in the morning we had a good pace but in the afternoon we did not succeed with the tyre. We ended up eighth, which is not the end of the world, but I hope to hit the tyre right tomorrow and fight back. ”
