Red Bull KTM Ajo Moto2 are back in action this weekend for the ninth round of the 2022 season, the Catalan Grand Prix. The two riders have been in impressive form at the last two races, with Augusto Fernandez winning in France and teammate Pedro Acosta doing likewise in Italy.

At the Italian Grand Prix, Augusto pulled off an epic feat by climbing 19 positions in the race, going from 24th to 5th. He proved once again to be one of the riders to beat, showing great pace at Mugello. He comes into the Catalan round confident, as he and his crew enjoyed a positive test in Barcelona last month and gathered important data. Fernandez is sixth in the overall standings, with 80 points.

The Moto2 Catalan Grand Prix race will start at 12:20 PM local time on Sunday.

“Now it’s time to focus on the Catalan GP. I like this track a lot and we did positive races there in the past. We also completed a two-day test last month and it was really productive for us as we found some things that helped us in the last two rounds. It will be important to start the weekend well, work as we have been doing so far and keep scoring as many points as possible.”
