Austria awaits for Augusto
The Red Bull KTM Ajo Moto2 riders will compete in the Austrian Grand Prix at the Red Bull Ring this weekend.
Augusto Fernandez led the way in Free Practice at Silverstone and took his first pole position of the season. The Red Bull KTM Ajo Moto2 rider had a great race in which, despite dropping positions at the start, he took victory after making a definitive overtaking move on the last lap. The result made Augusto the new leader of the Moto2 standings with 171 points.
The 25-lap Moto2 Austrian Grand Prix will take place on Sunday at 12:20 PM. The last win for Red Bull KTM Ajo Moto2 team at the track was for Raul Fernandez in last year’s edition of the event.
#37 AUGUSTO FERNANDEZ
“I’m really looking forward to the weekend. Last year I got two podiums in Austria, so I have very good memories of there. This year there is a change to the layout with the new chicane, and I want to see how it is. The objective is still to score as many points as possible and fight for the win. It doesn’t change our approach, even though we lead the standings, and we will give 100% from Friday onwards.”
