Augusto Fernandez started well the Aragon Grand Prix, setting the second best time of the day, after leading the first session.

The first Free Practice began with favorable track conditions. Augusto clocked a solid time in the opening minutes of the session, then went on to maintain the top spot and continue to improve his times. After putting in 16 laps he finished FP1 as the fastest rider, thanks to a 1:52.925 achieved on his last attempt.

The second session at MotorLand Aragon was affected by gusts of wind, which made it difficult for the riders. Augusto once again remained high up the standings, proving that he will be one of the riders to beat this weekend. He led much of the session, eventually placing second with a 1:52.952 slower than his FP1 best.

The two Moto2 qualifying sessions for the Aragon Grand Prix will start at 3:10 PM local time on Saturday.

“It was a good day and very positive. We’ve set the fastest times and maintained a good pace. In the afternoon it was harder for us due to the temperatures and the wind, but it was the same for all of us. The important thing is that we have a good feeling. Tomorrow we will test the soft tyre and see if we can use it for the race. We want to continue like this and give our all every day.”
