The Circuit Ricardo Tormo hosts the last round of the 2022 season this weekend. Augusto Fernandez arrives at the Valencia Grand Prix leading the Moto2 standings and ready to fight for the title until the end.

Augusto ended the flyaway rounds regaining the lead of the Moto2 standings after his fourth place at the Malaysian Grand Prix. The Red Bull KTM Ajo rider continues to be one hundred percent focused on his goal and has the chance to win the World Championship this weekend. Augusto has already been on the podium in Valencia in 2021 and feels strong this time around. With 251.5 points, he has a 9.5 point lead over his rival in the tussle for the title.

Red Bull KTM Ajo also has a chance to become Moto2 Team World Champion. With 403.5 points, the team leads the standings by 33.5 points over the second-placed team. The 25-lap Moto2 Valencian Grand Prix will take place on Sunday at 12:20 PM, local time.

#37 AUGUSTO FERNANDEZ
“I am really looking forward to starting the weekend. Valencia is a circuit that I like and where I got on the podium in 2021. I want to forget about everything else and start well on Friday. The goal is still, like every weekend, to get a good grid position in qualifying and fight to win the race on Sunday. I think we can do it, as we come into this one from races in which we have been strong, but for one reason or another they did not turn out the way we wanted. I want to fight for the win.”
